Back on topic it is better i find if you have mixed armies with melee, ranged units,siege weapons and cavalry makes each army more versitile and if need the numbers move two armies together to support each other

You can just about get 3 armies moving together and supporting each other allowing you to field 60 units is very nice any more then 3 and it gets confused

I see what you mean. My thought process was that if I know the primary army will be attacked first (or is the one doing the attacking) I can see where the artillery will enter and move the more mobile force to them. I found having it all mixed up meant a dilution of the artillery if the reinforcements entered from an odd angle.

Also it is a total bitch that you can’t get horses or artillery off of the ships. I find it makes no sense to assault by sea. On the flip side I suppose if you had a third light flexible force come in by sea you could land wherever and really cause some trouble.

If you are going to be on today send me a text or something and I will hop on. We could get one started if nothing else.

I think we got off to a reasonable start yesterday after the unit recruitment debacle , the early Leeroy and Spartans problem with getting through a gate.

Yes that was an epic fail with the Leeroy tactics but luckily we had to restart as you couldn't recruit anything

Good start though we both won some territory will have to crack on next Monday i should be on by 7.30 and apart from a 10 minute break to pick up Eve at 9.45 should be good till 11

I plan to take down Macedonia next time then pause and build up my forces i will be in a good position to help you with Illyria if you want

I will probably just finish off the Etruscan league then get some heavy artillery sorted out and come and join you. 20 heavy roman ballistas should stop us getting stuck at gates anymore.

I still can’t find a god dam list of units per faction with building / timeline information. It should not be this difficult to find such information out.
