Captain's Log:
Well, quite a few good things happened last night...
Firstly I managed to get quite a bit of work done on the
landing pad

(look how far away you can see the bugger now!). It now holds 3 CV's - and I parked yours on there too Meg. Be careful with the USS Yacktown though (Polaris), I found out the hitbox on that thing extends quite a way off the ship and its very easy to knock it when you are nowhere near touching it. Basically, give it a wide birth!
I then set about doing some slight mods to my dropship to make it more practical. I took out some Rocket Launchers and stripped the Gattling Guns out. I replaced one gun at the front with a ?Pulse Lazer? and the remaining ones with thrusters. Net result being it's mroe accurate, more conservative with ammo, has a better replacement for the gattling gun and is a shit-lot more manoeuvrable.
We decided to hop to the moon to get some blue crystals and take out some bases. It was textbook, we were swooping in and taking out the turrets without a scratch. Minimal damage suffered and a lot less drones and bases to worry about near some of the crystal clusters now. The bases didn't have anything useful (at least not so far), but it's still a step in the right direction.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we found a new bug. However, this bug works in our favour. Basically, there is a big crystal formation near one of the bases on the moon. Some of the crystals there don't disappear when you pick them up, meaning you can pick them up infinitely. Myself and John filled our ships and inventory with as many as we could carry and brought them back to our base. In short - we have absolutely no issues with warp fuel now. I slung some in your ship too Meg, simply because a I was running out of places to put the damn stuff!
