Firstly, I am liking number 2 so far - it seems they have drastically improved combat in almost every way.

I had a few questions I wanted to ask you Meg, since you have completed all 3.0. I would have looked up the answers on the interwebs, but I didn't want spoilers... or at least, I wanted as small a spoiler as possible. Hence this thread. Here we go:

1.0. I slept with the blue alien chick in the first game - do you get to continue that into 2 and 3 or is it worth pursuing someone else entirely?

2.0. Are the side missions worth doing in this one? They seemed pretty pointless in the last one, since the level of your imported character does not carry on (you are reset to 1).

3.0. Is there any particular order I should visit planets in number 2 (i.e. to pick up the good companions first)? I went to Omega and have picked up Garrius(?) (Archangel) again so far.

4.0. Is 3 actually any good? I heard bad things about it when it came out.

TCT in advance.

I am glad you are likeing number 2.0 is very good and listen out for an appearance from Officer Sun :-)

This game is very much like Dragon Age if you play your cards right you can 5 step all your female crew members, in fact i think you can even 5 step the comms officer not sure it has been several years since i played it.  I still haven't finshed Mass Effect 3.0 but i think i am nearly at the end but was unable to 5 step any of them :-(

The side missions are much better in 2.0 but are unneccesary they do add a bit of back story but mainly do them for cash and pickups to upgrade your kit and your ship how do you like the Normandy 2.0?

No there is no particular order to do the misions to collect your crew just pick the one you like first.  Garrius was a good choice he is a solid combat companion

Mass Effect 3.0 is not that good i mean its ok and if it is cheap worth the time to play through but it is a mere shadow of 2.0.  The problem is 2.0 is a briiliant epic game following it up was always going to be a tall order so the develper did what they always do and just knocked out a below par sequel

I might have to play through 2.0 again it is very good TCT

Well TCT for that! I will plod on then! Yes I am liking the Normandy 2.0, bur? And good old Seth Green at the helm again :-)

I will probably move to Risen after ME2, but will no doubt end up getting 3 at some point. Good game, good game.

Well I must say I am enjoying ME2 so far. I have picked up Garrius, the mad scientist guy and Jack. It's an improvement on 1 in almost every way. The only thing I don't like is the new galaxy map, which seems a bit pointless. But that's just nit-picking to be honest, it's a damn good game.

Gonna give it another go huh?

I am tempted to 5-step Miranda, because
a) she needs a good punch in the face;
b) 'dat ass :-)

Picked up that prototype Krogun "Grunt" last night and did the Horizon mission. I just went to Illum to do a few things and hopefully meet up with Liana again.

Two other shortcomings hit me last night - the level up system is pretty weak, as is the "inventory" (as such, because there isn't really one). The first game did this better I think. Again, nit-picking, I really like the game it's just a shame they went backwards there.

You are right about it being better than 1.

Oh, one more thing - this is what I mean about Miranda ;-)

Ah cool. Never liked Ahsley from the first game, she was all religious, poetry and hated aliens. Steered clear of her. Liana was begging for it. :-)

Never thought of that until you mentioned it. Good call.

I am on the planet Liana is, just about to find her after I do Miranda's side-quest. I am unsure how to handle it with Miranda, because surely if I sleep with her, Liana will not be happy.

Not sure i don't know if you can bang them together like on Dragon Age

I think if you move on you blow it with the previous one.  Just work your way through the crew Greg don't look back :-)

This is true. And Miranda is genetically bread for superior sexy-time-age.

...What do you think the best classes are in ME 1 and 2...? I am currently doing a Soldier in both, mainly on the Paragon route (although some Renegade for certain situations). In number 2 especially, it seems the Soldier is a bit ho-hum. Some of the powers that companions have are pretty damn awesome. All the Soldier gets is different ammo clips.

I finished this the other day and enjoyed it immensely. So much so that I ordered a copy of number 3 from Amazon for 6 squid :-)

Also, if you fancy it, you can take a look at my journey here. :-)

Well ME3 came yesterday and I managed to get a little bit of gameage in. I basically did the intro and got to the Citidal. Looks extremely similar to number two in terms of gameplay, graphics and general feel.

I was pleasantly surprised to see my imported savegame actually carries your ME2 level over to this one, meaning I had shit loads of points to spend on my character right from the get-go. The level-up system looks to be a definite improvement over the last one as well, so does the inventory. Also - mods are back again, which is a welcome addition in my book.

I did mix it up a bit this time. After importing my character I was given the option to alter my class. I am now going with the "adept" class, which I am really liking so far - the biotic powers are so cool when combines with guns and other powers. For instance, use singularity on a group of enemies and they all get pulled in the air, then launch a warp at them and it sets off a chain reaction for massive damage. Much more fun than just shooting anything that moves - and of course, you can still do that if you want to anyway.

So, I will plod on with this one and see how it goes...
