So after putting in some time on Farcry 3, here are my thoughts:
What I like- Looks gorgeous and runs surprisingly well
- Massive game world with lots to explore
- Enjoyable gunplay
- Takedowns are awesome

Especially when you get some of the latter skills unlocked
- For the most part, is an improvement over its predecessor
- Stealth is fun and very viable with the addition of takedowns
What I don't like- Crafting. Seems good at first, but it's over and done with too quickly and ultimately a bit lacklustre. Plus, other than a health syringe I have never had the need or desire to craft any other type of syringe - so what's the point?
- Minimap/HUD. It's too obtrusive - it's not even in the corner of the damn screen! Also, the full map requires you to pause the game, unlike the physical game map in Farcry 2 was much better.
- Radio towers. Why? Is this Assassin's Creed?
- Some terrible story missions with 'press this button now' mechanics - the bane of all games, which really ruins the immersion and pace
- Money/upgrades. You get way too much money and have bog all to spend it on.
- Gets a bit tedious after a while (with reference to checkpoints and radio towers mainly).
- Majority of side-quests are pointless and very boring
