The beauty of that is that you can then just angle the mouse up a slight bit to level out etc - you have full control over it - not some binary "I am going down/fucked" or "I am not moving anywhere" thing, like Wildlands.
at jimbob request, I repost text:
Woa, don't get me wrong, I can't control the thing for toffee, hell, you can't control the tail rotor! I thought we were talking about the fact it falls out the sky if you hold down the pitch and stay on the power! That's what I thought was more realistic seeing as that's what would happen. Other helicopters I've flown in games you just continue to fly straight and reach max speed. In wildlands you just have to accept you'll land where you land unless you piss about for ages going left/right/forward/back etc

Meg, don't get your knickers in a twist. It's nice to have an opinion, you know.
my experience with flying helicopters is, memorably desert/jungle/urban strike and one of the newer, 3d GTA games (ask woody) I've never had enough interest in sims other than F/A18 hornet from '95 ish and hawx, neither of which have helicopters in, well, fly'able.True indeed. Didn't you play BF2 with us, GMan? I could swear we all got copies of that, even if we didn't play it for very long. Great game - with decent choppers too. We should stick that on the list of stuff to try again actually - great fun co-op with 60-odd bots on the battlefield.
seems a lot of control possibility was lost not allowing you to use the mouse for anything other than panning the camera, although, I have to admit, I haven't looked at the vehicle controls in the options...

Indeed. Yeah, I think that polling system could potentially be rigged. It seems Dyson is 3 times a Vegan and lives in Peterborough (could make a song out of that).
"Yes, you're once, twice, three times a vegan."

Listen, don't mention the VPN! You mentioned it once, but I think you got away with it, all right. So! It's all forgotten now, and let's hear no more about it. So, that's two egg mayonnaise, a prawn VPN, a Linksys router, and four Ethernet salads.
