On a similar note I found the beacon extremely useful and added one to the base. When the generator is powered it will be like a permanent flare to make finding your way back to base easy as pie. Just got to remember to power down the generator when you log out or else it will eat up all the wood.

New base

Lat - 140
Lon - 465

But we didn't put it in a very good place as it is on the slope you don't have a good field of fire and the monsters where killing the guns

We should have built it down to the right 50 - 60m there is a flat clearing which would have been better i might redo it not sure

The guns were dying because they were not upgraded - the monsters were too high level for them. I didn't do anything to the base last night as I was busy blueprint hunting, but I upgraded the factory and armory a bit. Not sure if it's even worth moving it TBH.

Yes there is no point rebuilding it if you could delete blocks quickly it would be an idea but as we can't

Next base we build will be better also if you are not in the base and there is no guns attacking the monsters they ignore the base

Well I was going to put the coordinates on the site yesterday, but my house mate has gone on holiday, and decided that this is the best time to change isp. So I am now stuck without the net until the new lot connect me up.

I got to the island binded to it then died and lost my back pack!

Whilst i was having a little tour of the island i randomly died whilst on my bike went back to where i was roughly then spent half an hour looking for it no sign

i may need a little help tomorrow night lost lost all my materials as well so a lot of farming for me i think

Yeah, I am happy to help tomorrow as I should be on. As I was trying to say last night - while that island is awesome for materials it is like level 17+, so you will literally have your arse handed to you on a plate if you are level 8.

We may have to take a trek back to the main island and do some dungeons to get your level up.

I need to do some material farming for fossils and ore to get "base 3" up to scratch, so maybe we could do some of that before heading back to the other island - since there is shit loads of resources right near the base.

Yes i went back to where i had died and searched around for ages and couldn't find it

I don't know how i died it was day time and i wasn't being attacked i was on my bike then suddenly splat

I will help you do some farming then you might have to build me a jetpack to get back not sure if i lost all my blueprints or not

Yes you may need to catch up Greg i did find a nice easy cave on the first island good for leveling

Plus Jeg if there is a slim attack whilst we are farming i maybe able to level up a bit as only 9.5 i need a sword though and some armor would help

Cool, its decided then.

I don't think you lose blueprints when dieing - but you certainly lose weapons, armour and a high percentage of your resources.

You would be surprised at how little difference the new sword makes actually - levelling up seems to have a far greater impact in the damage you deal, although the armour is a solid bet. I think I didn't get my fossil armour until about level 15, then I got my ore armour and gem sword at about 20 and none of it was particularly tricky - you just have to pick your battles. Be prepared for shit loads of farming for that gear though.

The cave near base 2 I spent quite a lot of time farming. Every time I logged in that was the first thing I did. As I levelled up I could go deeper and deeper until I could eventually clear the thing with no issues. That's pretty much when I decided to search for new areas - as it wasn't dropping any of the stuff I needed.

I just need a sword i lost that too! but yes i will help you farm then i had better go back to the other island for a bit to level up
