Steam is giving away this game for free this weekend. Go grab it now to add it to your games library. This is NOT one of those "free weekends", this is a once you have it, you keep it. They are incidentally doing a free weekend on some of the newer Arma games.

From my findings, this looks to be the old Operation Flashpoint game, re-branded. Enjoy!

Hell yea. Did the old Operation Flashpoint have a coop multiplayer mode?

I could have sworn the original was multiplayer. The store page indicates this is single player only... I suppose the only way to know for sure is to load it up and have a look.

EDIT: This suggests it is multiplayer.

It all came flooding back to me when I tried it - and I remembered why I got rid of it. It hasn't changed at all, I think that's the problem.

I managed to recreate probably the most famous battle of all time. I had eight Sopworth camel biplanes flying about shooting three squads of down syndrome Russian infantry whilst 3 patrol boats on the land were fruitlessly trying to obey a movement order I had given them somehow.

Whilst this was going on, several squads of civilians were instructed to walk in column formation around the battle field.

I watched this cluster fuck unfold from the comfort of my apache helicopter. When the dust had settled I simply jumped out of the chopper leaving the co-pilot to go down with his ship. I then mopped up the remaining civilians by shooting them in the knees. Oddly the others in the formation simply continued to walking into my bullets whilst smiling.

It was fucking hilarious but I think I can do better. I will see I if can make one and somehow get it working in multiplayer .

Well it sounds awesome and I will have to give it a go. I remember doing similarly stupid maps in Arma 2 - it was by far the most fun I had in the game.

It has a map editor cool i didn't realise but should we trust Greg with it?

I think entrusting it with Greg will ensure our time spent on it is pure gold mayhem and stupidity - so, er, yes.
