The other night I found myself playing the old Streets of Rage with a mate on my Mega Drive Emulator (who, like me, loved the original games). Anyway, for some reason I ended up on t'interwebs and found out that some bright sparks had made a PC port/remake of the entire trilogy.

I downloaded it and tried it out. I must say, it's truly amazing what they have done. it incorporates all playable characters and levels from all 3 games (along with some other, new characters) in one neat little package. It's a wonderful little treasure and I thought I would mention it here to anybody that was interested.

The whole project apparently took 8 whole years to make and is truly a labour of love. You can download it here (get version 5.0A).

P.S. It's frelling brilliant. Was playing this all night last night. I am hooked... again
