Anyone had a look at this before? It was a mod for ARMA2 but they are doing a standalone version.Looks like it might be some fun to play coop.

Never heard of it until now. Looks interesting though. Still in early days by the looks of it - mind you, what's new. Every bloody game I look at recently is in "Alpha", "Early-Access" and what-not. Mother duckers, I hope this is not what the gaming industry is turning into.

I hope to god the new version of it (this standalone version) does not use much of the Arma 2 engine - I absolutely hated that. Arma 2 itself was an okay game, but the engine was just awful.

I have a new phone that does not have access to the net so I am basically cut off unless I am at home. So I thought bollocks to it, if I am carful and only come on every now and then I might be able to access from work.

I am not sure if it uses the ARMA2 or 3 engine. Still if it is cheap it might be worth a look. It could be good fun if we get the three of us stalking around pissing people off.

So, this "new" phone - is it any good? Surely having no internet is actually a step backwards, rather than forwards... unless that is temporary?

Tis as wank as phones get, hasn’t even got a camera. I don’t use half the stuff my current phone does and I don’t really do much calling / texting because it’s yag. so I thought, sod it, get a cheap as arse pay as you go heap.

Just to steer this one back on topic, I think I will get this next week and report back to you chaps. If it has some potential it might be a good one to get game night back on track.

Shiny. Yes the 'ol gamage night has been a bit poor lately. What with Greg playing EVE/Total War, me playing Titan Quest/Space Engineers, Mark playing Total War/Total War/Total War and Total War and Captain Gout doing, er, god knows what.

There seems to be little out there that we all like at the moment. DayZ may be one of them. I am not sure if Carmageddon will be multiplayer, but that could be a possibility too...?

Out of curiosity Greg, do you still play EVE?

Anyway, I am veering off subject (again). I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one Greg.

From the videos I have seen it does look like it could be interesting, should require a high degree of team work as I think it’s a ‘when you’re dead your dead’ game and loose all your stuff.

Yea still going with EVE, it’s very much a long term game. Also as I have two games pcs now I can play EVE on one as Rome on the other.

That was based on a while ago; I think it was still in alpha at the time.
