No the Liberty Battlecruiser handles about the same as the Liberty Dreadnought even thought it is half the size!

However as you say both are nimble compared to the Galic Battleship which has the handling characteristics of a space staion   But if you get it pointing in the right direction it is awesome and will blow anything out of the water!

Once Bill and Ben progress a bit up to decent fighter or gunboat i believe fleet manovers in Nomad space are needed as bombers where a problem for our battleships wheren't they.

Like I said then.

Gallic Cruiser = 19.10 turn rate (+ thruster)
Liberty Battlecruiser = 11.46 turn rate (+ thruster)
Liberty Dreadnought = 11.23 turn rate
Gallic Battleship = 9.17 turn rate

...so yeah, the Gallic Cruiser you are getting handles nicely (and I recall rather liking that ship). The Gallic Battleship handles like a dog (but annihilates anything and everything). But both the Liberty Dreadnought and Cruiser's handling is almost identical.

From my point of view, the Liberty Battlecruiser simply isn't worth it (when compared to the Liberty Dreadnought) as the only thing it has going for it is the addition of a thruster.

If it were me I would get the Gallic Cruiser over the Liberty Battlecruiser in a heartbeat.

And yeah, will be good when the Chuckle Brothers get going so we can go boom boom in Nomad space!

Yes i am going to get the French Cruiser as you say the Liberty Battlecruiser just isn't worth it you might as well have the Dreadnought.

A Cruiser might be a good fleet support vessel it will take more punishment then a Gunboat and may be nimble enough to deal with fighters and bombers i will have to see.  I will be able to swap over the Mark V armour upgrade from my Dreadnought won't I? 

Did you ever get the vessel to vessel docking to work?

Yes you should be able to swap Armour no probs.

I will try vessel docking tonight (if Greg is around), as I don't think that was working before and it should be now.

What one of those cruisers that I mentioned do you reckon I should get Maximus? I am leaning towards the Order one, simply because of it's handling and it has 13 turrets when compared to the BH one.

Yes i looked at those two as well i thought the Order one may get stuck by all the aerials but the Bounty Hunter looked good.

I went for the French one as it has a much higher hull strength but is not quite as nimble.

I think i would go for the Order one its stats are better i am sure the aerials won't be a problem.

Woops, dunno where I got that from. The Order one has 8 as well.

Regardless, I think you are right, the Order one may be the one I go for. It's handling isn't far off what our Hathor Gunboats are like.

True, it doesn't have as much Hull strength, but I figured for the really tough stuff we would simply bring out the Frenchie Battleship anyway.

I will swap my "Bricky" character (Trader) for the Order cruiser I think... since Sulaco is my new trader (has a Zoner Whale, whereas my original trader had the Kusari one)

6 hours sleep is plenty you can get all the sleep you want when your dead.  In fact if i have anymore than 8 hours i am sleepy all day!

I bought the Order Cruiser last night and I am quite impressed. It handles really well. The only downside I see with it is the lack of turrets and maybe the hull strength.

I haven't taken it on a decent mission/battle yet so I don't know how it fill fare. We can try that out tonight

...so is everyone on tonight? And what time are we all on? It will be about 7.0 PM for me.

I got the Gallic Cruiser last night it is very nice just need to pick up some missle turrets for it from Liberty.

I might need someone to buy them for me as they really don't like me then i can buy them off the kind person that helped me.

Don't know if i will be on tonight but i will try
