Seems sound; however, I was thinking that the healing thing is well worth sticking to so I was going to look at a sniper rifle or some such so I could hang back a bit and stay out of the thick of it.

The healing thing takes about 4-5 seconds so I need to be out of the way whilst doing it or I get anally rammed with a traffic cone.

O yeah, and don't forget about armour piercing mods. Most weapons are significantly better against Grineer with a decently fused AP mod.

If you are short on mod space - interchange damage mods between missions so that you can equip the best-suited damage-dealer for the enemies you are facing.

Grineer - Fire, Armour Piercing
Invested - Fire
Corpus - Electric, Armour Piercing

...and Frost damage works on pretty much anything, but best on enemies with high shields.

Which is fair enough, but to heal you need power - and you can only get more power by collecting the blue spheres. This means at some point in long battles, you need to run into the thick of it just to "recharge".

Sniping is something I have not enjoyed in this game - as too much is going on most of the time it seems impossible. I would suggest against it, but again, if you find it works for you then go for it. The "Lex" pistol is a secondary weapon that works like a pocket sniper. You may want to look into that, so that you don't gimp yourself with a crappy primary weapon - with the Lex you can snipe with your pistol and mow-down enemies with your primary.

Power is not really a problem, I have this thing where I can paint a target and leach power equal to damage dealt…….I think.

I will give it another go then Greg but for me the game just feels a bit……pointless I suppose. It feels to me like endlessly running about without really achieving anything.

Just me I suppose; you guys and lots of other enjoy it so there must be something to it. Each to their own, as you wisely said earlier.

Probably a bit late now but I thought a good name for your clan would be BFDD.

When people ask what it means you can tell them it’s Big Floppy Donkey Dick.

I suppose this is partly due to the fact that you have bought most of the stuff, rather than playing the game to get it - which is where that sense of achievement would come in. Maybe you should boycott further money-throwing in-favour of playing the game to get the stuff. Otherwise, as you said, it may seem like you aren't getting anywhere. For me, after doing all the hard work to get parts, blueprints etc. for a gun or frame, it's a sense of achievement when you get it. Not only that, but it means you have been playing for a good reason (not only fun - which is also important!).

Still, playing the game levels-up your frames and weapons, and gives you mods - which you use to improve things. That is also, surely a sense of achievement no? Then you have the unlocking of levels too, to get better mods, etc... I certainly feel you get much more of an achievement out of this game than, say, Left 4 Dead - but maybe that's just me. I have always liked freedom of customisation games - and games that you can experiment with different loadouts etc.

Anyway - With any luck this info will help you out and you may find some enjoyment in the game. If not then that's cool (although it would be a shame :-(), but maybe give it one more shot? ;-)

I have running tonight but I might hop on and do a bit of single player if I am back in time. This may be a bit of a ‘how long is a piece of string ‘question but how long (playing hour wise) does it take to get guns and stuff to level 30?

Don't lose heart Greg i haven't played it much yet i am way behind Greg and Dyson.

I spend most of the time following them through empty corridors if i am quick and they hit a load of enemies i might get a couple of kills :-).  But this is good i just follow them and get all the pickups they have left for me and you still get xp don't you so you will level up.

Give it one more go on Friday and we will see if they can slow down a bit maybe break their legs?

It is a difficult question to answer - since the difficulty of the level you are playing, number of players and number of enemies all factor into that. The better a weapon is, the more kills you will get too - so you will find once a weapon gets into "stride", the levels will fly by.

Here is something you may find interesting: My Hek I bought 2 days ago. It is already level 30. My Aklato's I bought when I first got the game, they are level 25.

What does this tell you? The more you use a weapon, the quicker it will level. Or more concisely, the more enemies you kill with a weapon, the quicker it will level. Since the Hek was mowing down enemies quicker than you could think, it levelled super-fast. Where-as my Aklato's rarely got a look-in because my primary was so effective.

So when you find a weapon you think you will like, try and stick with it. I have noticed that in multiplayer games you do seem to get XP for weapons when someone else kills then too - so if you join a game and use you primary exclusively, but another player is mowing down enemies with a pistol, you will still get pistol XP.

I am not begin a little ‘I don’t get kills so I am not playing’ type of be-atch, that doesn’t bother me as I enjoyed being the support. I think Greg sort of hit the right point with the fact I have just purchased all the stuff I wanted so there is no sense of achievement therefore no sense of purpose.

Still, I shall give it another go.

Just had an additional thought Greg - in regards to playing and achieving stuff: Maybe this whole clan Dojo thing could be a blessing for you - as the weapons you craft using your Dojo can ONLY be crafted by playing the game and unlocking the rooms, researching weapons etc. As such, you don't even have the temptation to just buy the weapon (because you can't) - we all must work together to research the weapons, contribute parts, credits etc. to get them.

From what I have heard, the Dojo weapons are the most powerful in the game too...

Slight problem with that, my adoption religion prevents me from setting foot on option territory.

Well if you hadn't been a numpty earlier when I asked you what it would be called you wouldn't have a problem.
Besides, us brothers of The Option accept Adoption slags on account of the hilarious antics involving wall-running... so you are fine.

Well i am almost at the point where i will need to get a new Warframe.

At the moment Excalibur is lvl 28 my Braton rifle is at lvl 28 and Lex pistol is lvl 20.  My dual burning swords are already lvl 9 so all in all he is kicking ass!

So what Warframe to get and what main weapon to get as i can't get the Hex shotty yet as you need to be rank 4 and i am only nearly 3?  I bought the blueprint for duel Vipers last night only to find i need to get the Viper blueprint first and didn't quiet have enough cash Doh!  Anyway i will work towards that for my secondary weapon.

On another note i got the Clan key blueprint thank you cheers tar for that which should be built by now :-) are you sure we should let adoption slags in?

Had a go last night, still a bit unsure really as but it was nice to actually kill something. I didn’t realise that there were levels where you have to do a test, this means I am level 2.0 and I can’t get the shotgun thing Greg was on about.

I think I have been spoilt a bit by playing on the higher levels you guys are on, I was expecting to level up multiple times with each mission but on the lower levels it is painfully slow.

Also I attempted to switch to the shotgun witch was a bit better than my stupid machine gun so that might be worth some perseverance on Friday.

Well that's encouraging news Greg. Maybe a good idea to continue playing solo for a bit, to level up and kill stuff then on Friday you may find it more interesting.

Yeah, the Hek requires mastery rank 4.0 - I mentioned that here.

I don’t think I am going to get a chance to play it again until Friday. No bother, I said I will give it another go so I shall.

Shiny.

I also require a new Warframe. my Rhino and Nyx are almost 30.0 too. Don't know what to go for next though. Mag or Banshee maybe, as I already have 2.0 of the 3.0 blueprints required for both of them.
