I found an excellent mod for Skyrim that drastically improves the UI. This is something that really should have been in the game from day one, so calling it a mod is a stretch - I would call it more of an improvement / fix. Anyway, the mod in question is called SkyUI. Here is a screenshot

of the new improved UI for the backpack. I think you will agree it is a massive improvement. 

Installation:

1. Download and install Nexus Mod Manager.
2. Download and install SKSE.
3. Use the Nexus Mod Manager to install and activate the mod, then launch the game from the mod manager (launch SKSE).
4. Enjoy a much easier user interface!

I placed all the files (including the mod) that you need on the FTP for easy access if you want to get them from there.

Cheers for the links i will check them out once i pick up Skyrim again.
