As we have been talking about mods for KSP recently I thought I would start this subject to keep track of them.

Here is one to get the ball rolling:

MechJeb: A comprehensive add-on providing loads of helpful tools such as autopilot, landing systems and general info.

Well that MechJeb is sodding brilliant. It managed to get me into a perfectly circle orbit and then rendezvous and dock at Brickage Space Station. The only thing I did was press space bar during launch to jettison empty fuel tanks. Screenshot is up in the gallery.

Thing is, it kind of makes the game a little too easy - I mean what is there to do if it can do everything for you?

I agreed from what you said last night it will make it too easy but after several failed attempts at docking i will certainly be using it for docking. :-)

I will have a play next time i am on the PC

Yeah, given docking is probably the most time-consuming and difficult part of KSP I suppose you could use it for that. It does have lots of other useful things other than the autopilot stuff, so is well worth a look even if you won't use it for that.

What do you mean by that? Just look at the features list.

I meant does it have more/different components with which to build space vessels.

As you had a quick go thought you might have seen.

LOL, someone made the Nostromo
(from Alien) into a KSP mod.

Also, for anyone interested in finding any of the "easter eggs" mentioned here, check out this ISA MapSat mod that allows you to survey a planet's terrain to find these anomalies.
