Wow getting to Eve is proving a bit of a challenge

First attempt ran out of fuel in orbit of Eve nice view though.

Second attempt exploded when i did stage separation oops my bad.

Third attempt ran out of fuel during descent at around 10,000 meters so i detached everything and went in with command pod alone on parachute. At 1,500 meters the parachute failed? Boom!

Is there a time limit on how long the parachute lasts?

That's a bit out of my sphere of experience with the game, but I was not aware that the shoots could just fail. Is there supposed to be a thick atmosphere on Eve then?

Chutes are not meant to be deployed until 500m, Greg. So you frelled it up royally. Duna is heavy atmos too - it's tricky but not impossible to land without a chute. If I can do it, I am sure you can

That will be why the chute failed then bugger ok less than 500 meters.

Yes i am hopeing to land properly but i thought i would give it a go as i was there.

I changed Fat Boy a bit and i got it into orbit with a full big double tank more so that should give me more than enough for Eve or Duna.

Saw this page today that showcases one guys attemps at making various Star Wars vehicles in KSP. I don't think these are flyable (confirm?) but they do look rather cool. They are made entirely from stock KSP parts.
