Wow Greg, I wish you had told me exactly where a little sooner. Having no idea where you were I just hopped into the nearest wormhole that I found - I am now absolutely freaking miles away. It will probably take me an hour just to get where you are.

Shiny! To that end, I mailed everyone some more green for ultimate ship pimpage. The shields are pretty damn awesome and there is a fair bit of snot floating around that area that you found, Greg - including yet another wormhole that takes you back up north to roughly where I was ... doh!

It was good fun on Friday. I did enjoy expons off the wall ship designs. 
I think we all seem to be getting to a reasonable level of equipment now so looking forward to pushing a bit further toward the centre next time.

Yes, I am really enjoying it. Dyson's latest ship was special to say the least.

I hopped on yesterday to make a new ship - more along the lines of a battleship, since my "Sulaco" had its day.

It's a bit bigger than my last ship, but tried to keep the front-facing profile to a minimum for skirmishes. It's actually quite bare bones and fits quite a lot inside. Was attempting to go down the more shield, less armour route to improve handling - and as such, no armour on this one - just some bits of hull plating on the essential spots.

Looks tidy. Mine needs a proper redesign as evey time I go on something gets shot off and I spend most oft my time just getting back to square one. 

Just a thought, is there any way to play around with the collision damage? I don't want it turned off but it seems a bit unnecessarily harsh at the moment. Also that seems to account for about 80% of lost time in game at the moment. If we could turn it to like 50% just until we can afford to move our spawn station it might make getting started a bit easier.

Most of our setbacks thus far have indeed been collision orientated. In a way though, it's kind of refreshing to see a game that treats collision a bit more seriously.

Anyway, yes, it can be altered. For my reference.

As I said, just a thought. When we can set our spawn points then fair game but I must have spent hours just pointlessly travelling back to my ship to pick up wreckage. 
Also the lack of green in the starter system is a pain for rebuilding.

Indeed. It will only get worse the closer to the galaxy center that we get. Imagine having to make that trip everytime you X_Xed it into an asteroid (or me) ;-).

I think that would call for the admin to warp some. I would think it would take over an hour to get there looking at the map even if you knew the exact route.

And the rest. Well I shall reduce it anyway, since it has already racked up a fairly substantial bill for us (not to mention all the hassle).
